Bamurru Plains: Wild Bush Luxury, Northern Territory

Bamurru Plains is located on Swim Creek Station, a 303sq. km. coastal buffalo pastoral property near Point Stuart in the Mary River Region of the Northern Territory. The station is 10kms from Kakadu National Park's western boundary and just over 100kms east of Darwin. Attractions include birdlife and wildlife of the surrounding floodplains and savannah woodlands.

The accommodation is more akin to some of the safari camps in Africa. There are 9 safari style bungalows, each with ensuite, built amongst the pandanus vegetation and offering spectacular views across the wetlands. The bungalows have no TVs, videos, mini-bars, telephone or internet access. The style of experience is utterly exclusive, rustically chic and totally in tune with the surrounding countryside. Truly a place to escape the day to day hassles of modern living!!!
