Tiwi Islands - "You haven't seen the Territory until you've seen the Tiwi Islands"

Fly from Darwin Airport to Bathurst Island and take a guided tour through the progressive community of Nguiu. Be taken through the arts and craft centres and see the artists at work with the opportunity to purchase original pieces.

Spend time with the Tiwi ladies and guides enjoying billy tea and damper. Witness traditional totem dances and a smoking ceremony. Visit a local waterhold fo a swim and visit a Tiwi burial site and learn about some of the complex rituals associated with the Pukamani poles (Burial poles).

Full day tour operates Monday-Friday, March to November.
